ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION, THEN BLOOD PRESSURE (BP) HIGHER THAN 140/90 mm Hg, IS ONE OF THE MOST COMMON DISEASES OF THE VASCULAR CIRCULATION.
HYPERTENSE
Arterial hypertension, i.e. blood pressure (BP) higher than 140/90 mm Hg, is one of the most common vascular diseases. It is a massively prevalent disease and is often referred to as a non-infectious epidemic. Hypertension significantly affects morbidity and mortality through its complications. It is estimated that up to 25 percent of deaths over the age of 40 are directly or indirectly caused by high blood pressure!
Definition of hypertension according to the European Society of Hypertension and the European Society of Cardiology (2003):
blood pressure | systolic (mm Hg) | diastolic (mm Hg) |
optimal pressure | lower than 120 | lower then 80 |
normal pressure | 120 - 129 | 80 - 84 |
higher normal pressure | 130 - 139 | 85 - 89 |
mild hypertension | 140 - 159 | 90 - 99 |
moderate hypertension | 160 - 179 | 100 - 109 |
severe hypertension | greater than or equal to 180 | greater than or equal to 110 |
isolated systolic hypertension | greater than or equal to 140 | less than 90 |
Prevalence: more than 50% of the population over the age of 50 has hypertension.
Causes of hypertension
1. Genetic factors:
- are being investigated, complex interrelationships, cannot yet be influence
2. External environmental factors:
- Excessive sodium intake, increased sodium sensitivity
- increased caloric intake, obesity, especially abdominal obesity increased
- alcohol consumption and tobacco use
- stress and socioeconomic status
- certain medications - e.g. hormonal contraceptives, corticosteroids, antidepressants
3. Disorders of endogenous (internal) regulatory mechanisms and metabolic deviations:
- disruption of the endothelium (vascular lining) and vascular wall
- disorders of glucose metabolism (glucose intolerance, insulin resistance, diabetes mellitus)
It can also be caused by other diseases, e.g. of the kidneys, endocrine glands (thyroid, adrenal, pituitary) or circulatory system (heart defects) - in this case, we are talking about secondary arterial hypertension.
Types of arterial hypertension
- Primary arterial hypertension - elevated pressure is not the result of another disease.
- Secondary arterial hypertension - is the result of another established disease, for treatment it is necessary to eliminate this cause.
- Pulmonary hypertension - i.e. hypertension in the pulmonary circulation - is a separate disease with different causes, manifestations and consequences.
Manifestations of hypertension
They are usually very poor and inconspicuous, and therein lies the danger of this disease, which is also called the "hidden killer". The first manifestation of untreated hypertension can be a stroke or heart attack. Possible symptoms include headaches, dizziness, palpitations and chest pressure.
Classical treatment of hypertension
The goal is not only to lower blood pressure, but mainly to prevent or slow the development of organ changes that then lead to serious vascular complications, sometimes fatal. There are many groups of drugs acting through the central nervous system, the vascular wall and the kidneys. They affect ion exchange or act through enzymes and receptors. Drugs are used either alone or, and this is more often the case, in different combinations according to the severity of the disease. It is beyond the scope of this information note to list them.
Untreated high blood pressure is a risk factor for the development of other diseases of the circulatory system and has been shown to shorten life expectancy. The advanced form of the disease requires lifelong treatment and belongs in the hands of a physician.
Hypertension and Energy preparations
Energy preparations represent a significant benefit in the prevention and influence of complications of the developed disease. These modern bioinformation products are an alternative that offers a holistic, natural and gentle approach.
Main products
Depending on the diagnosis, Energy products can also be used to eliminate stress and stabilize the patient's psychological state.
KOROLEN is a key preparation to influence the vascular system. Its composition prevents the development of cardiovascular diseases, helps to reduce blood pressure, favorably affects the wall of arteries and veins. Dosage: 5 drops 3 times a day fasting in summer.
RENOL supports the kidneys, which are an important regulator of blood pressure. Dosage: 4 drops 3 times a day in winter.
Complementary products
RUTICELIT is a complement to Korolen, applied to the reflective zones.
VITAMARIN supplies the body with essential unsaturated fatty acids, which have an anti-sclerotic effect on blood vessels and positively influence the rhythm and activity of the heart. Dosage: 1 capsule twice a day, preferably after meals.
FYTOMINERAL - the effects of minerals in colloidal form induce and maintain electrolytic balance in the human body, they are needed for a huge number of biochemical processes as cofactors of enzymes. Dosage: 30 drops in 1 litre of water, sip during the day.
CELITIN increases brain activity (in the elderly it is not advisable to administer it at night - it may induce insomnia). It also has an antisclerotic effect and improves blood circulation to the brain and elasticity of blood vessels. Dosage: 1 capsule in the morning after breakfast.
BARLEY JUICE supplies the body with necessary enzymes that have a significant anti-inflammatory effect (reduction of CRP - an inflammatory marker in the blood), which significantly protects the vascular wall from destabilization and acute episode. Dosage: 1 teaspoon of powder in 2 dl of water twice a day.
FLAVOCEL has an antioxidant effect on the vascular wall, reducing the harmful effects of smoking. Dosage: 1 tablet 1-3 times a day.
Complementary preparations should be alternated and can be combined with each other.
The dosage of the preparations is indicative and must be adjusted according to the state of the disease and the age and reactivity of the patient. In general, use low doses for chronic long-term diseases and older age groups, and higher doses for young individuals and acute conditions.
In any case, regimen measures must be taken, which include limiting salting, smoking and alcohol consumption.
The psychological side of the disease can be positively influenced by Spiron and relaxing baths in Biotermal or Balneol.
