Description according to traditional Chinese medicine: This is a modification of the original traditional Chinese herbal mixture BU ZHONG YI QI WAN, adjusted to meet today’s needs. This mixture is intended for conditions of deficient qi energy of the spleen and the stomach PI/WEI QI XU which result in a weakening and depletion of yang YANG XU XIAN. According to Chinese medicine, the middle burner ZHONG JIAO (spleen PI and stomach WEI) produces qi energy QI and blood XUE from food and the air. An impaired function of these organ pathways leads to insufficient formation of qi energy QI XU and blood XUE XU and a decline of yang YANG XU XIAN. This is all manifested by overall weakness, caused either by inborn weak constitution or after a long-term disease. This weakness is shown through 3 different signs: 1. drop and prolapse of the rectum, uterus, urinary bladder, varicose veins, hernias and haemorrhoids. 2. chronic diarrhoea (without bacterial findings) or thin stools with undigested residues. 3. anaemia in women with soiling between menstruations or with frequent menstruation, repeated miscarriages. According to Chinese medicine, the spleen qi energy PI QI controls and feeds muscles and limbs, especially from the waist down. Therefore, a deficient function of the spleen PI QI XU is manifested by impaired nutrition of the limbs, resulting in a feeling of weakness and heaviness of the limbs. If the spleen qi energy PI QI XU is weakened, the yang energy YANG does not ascend to the surface layers where it does not have a sufficient strength for circulation. This results in intermittent fevers (worsened after exercise), spontaneous perspiration (typically worsened after exercise) and aversion to cold – chills, which improves with clothing (in case of attack by external coldness, on the other hand, there is no improvement with clothing). Because of the weakened yang energy YANG XU, the circulation of fluids also worsens, which is manifested by thirst with a craving for hot drinks (in case of heat due to deficiency RE XU, on the other hand, with craving for cold drinks). Deficient qi energy PI QI XU is also manifested through chronic fatigue, shortness of breath and easy breathlessness even after a little physical effort, reluctance to talk, slow speech, reluctance to move, shiny and pale face and skin or repeated nosebleeds. Tiger Spring is also suitable for athletes who need “physiological doping” as it naturally elevates the energy capacity of the organism without using prohibited doping.
