Uncaria (Vilcacora) grows in the lowland tropical forests of Central and South America, especially in the region of Peru. It has been used by indigenous tribes for at least 2 000 years. However, it was not until the 1970s that uncaria came to the attention of the Western world thanks to the work of Christian missionaries.

It contains a large number of alkaloids, sterols, aminoglycosides, terpenes, tannins, flavonoids and other important substances. It supports immunity and ensures joint health.

Uncaria tomentosa (vilcacora - cat's claw) is one of the most famous medicinal plants native to the Peruvian Andes region. It was revered by the indigenous people of Peru and named vilcacora, which means 'holy plant' in the Quechua language, for its remarkable properties. Vilcacora contains a large number of alkaloids, sterols, aminoglycosides, terpenes, tannins, flavonoids and other important substances.

Ingredients:
dried crushed bark of Uncaria tomentosa

Preparation:
For 1 litre of boiling water 1 tablespoon, boil for 25 minutes and then infuse and strain for 15 minutes.

Dosage:
Divide 1 liter of decoction into three daily doses. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage!

Caution:
Not for children under 3 years of age. Consult your physician for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Not recommended for use after bone marrow, organ transplantation and transfusion. Not suitable for diabetics taking insulin, those on hormone therapy and those taking immunosuppressants. Dietary supplements are not intended to be used as a substitute for a varied diet. It is recommended to consume within 3 months after opening.

Store in a dry place, out of direct sunlight, at 10-25°C. Protect from frost. Keep out of reach of children.
