Description according to traditional Chinese medicine: This is a modification of the original traditional Chinese herbal mixture DANG GUI SHAO YAO WAN, adjusted to meet today’s needs. The present times are characterized by disharmony, i.e. imbalance in all regards. Each of us seeks our place under the Sun and fight for it, striving for balance in body and soul. Due to many external factors (stress, poor lifestyle, excess of work, lack of sleep…) we are running short of “inner forces”, which successfully balance the pointers on our energy scales. These inner forces, certainly not dark!, include without doubt the qi energy of the spleen PI QI and liver blood GAN XUE. According to TCM, these two factors are the basis of proper functioning of our organism. According to an older TCM principle, “qi energy QI is the mother of blood XUE and blood XUE controls qi energy QI”, which implies that one is closely related to the other, similarly to a mother and a child. One recharges the other but sometimes also “discharges” them (after all, mothers after maternal leave could talk about it at length…). Liver blood GAN XUE therefore influences the proper functioning of the spleen PI QI. The spleen PI sends “pure energy” YANG up (to the pathway of the heart XIN and the lungs FEI) and, on the contrary, “murky energy”, i.e. moisture SHI, down (to the pathways of the large intestine DA CHANG, small the small intestine XIAO CHANG and the urinary bladder KANG PUANG). The function of the spleen PI is therefore of the utmost importance! If, however, liver blood GAN XUE XU is weakened, it results in an imbalance, i.e. a disease. Lack of liver blood GAN XUE XU causes deficient qi of the spleen PI QI XU, which then does not drain moisture SHI sufficiently, the qi energy of the liver stagnates GAN QI ZHI, just like liver blood GAN YU XUE. This condition can be imagined as “little water in a river” (deficient liver blood GAN XUE XU) which has no strength to flow on (deficient qi energy of the spleen PI QI XU), other deposits gradually accumulate (moisture SHI), blocking the flow of water (stagnating qi energy of the liver GAN QI ZHI and blocked liver blood due to lack of blood GAN YU XUE). This condition corresponds to the associated symptoms – continuous, persistent, but very mild, slightly crampy abdominal pain, feeling of discomfort in the abdominal area, known very well to all those suffering from a modern disease called the celiac disease. Meals bringing moisture SHI into the organism, i.e. all cereals, cause this already “impaired condition in the middle burner” to become even worse and mostly women who consume gluten feel like they are in the first trimester of pregnancy… Other manifestations may include mild swelling, in particular on the lower limbs. Stagnating moisture SHI is also manifested as allergic rhinitis, swelling around the eyes in the morning, swelling of the lower limbs around the ankles, fatigue, cold limbs, increased sensitivity to cold, gynaecological discharge, vertigo, nausea, feeling heavy in the head, urinary problems, feeling full on the chest and around the stomach, heart problems, excessive sweating of the underbelly, constipation, ovarian cysts, infertility, poor foetal position during pregnancy, swelling in pregnancy, painful menstruation, irregular menstruation, hydrocele in men. These symptoms are based both on a state of deficiency XU and a state of excess SHI. On the one hand there is a deficiency of liver blood GAN XUE XU and a deficiency of spleen qi energy PI QI XU, on the other hand there is an excess, i.e. liver blood blocks GAN YU XUE and stagnating moisture SHI.  This complicated situation is solved first by feeding the deficient liver blood GAN XUE XU and making the stagnating liver qi energy GAN QI ZHI passable, by strengthening the deficient spleen qi energy PI QI XU, by stirring up the stagnating blood YU XUE and drying up moisture SHI. The benefit of this herbal mixture is that it “properly moistens” (fees blood XUE) and at the same time “properly dries up” (drains moisture SHI), i.e. brings perfect harmony!

This mixture is intended mostly for women and today there is likely not a single woman who would never need it!
