Description according to traditional Chinese medicine: 
This is a modification of the original traditional Chinese herbal mixture YI GAN WAN, adjusted to meet today’s needs. This harmonizing herbal mixture is used in Chinese medicine for conditions of imbalance between the liver pathway and the spleen pathway. It adjusts the excessive energy on the liver pathway GAN which suppresses and pushes away the spleen pathway PI. An excess of energy on the liver pathway GAN results in turbulence and later in the formation of inner wind NEI FENG – it can be compared to a pressure cooker which needs to let the steam out from time to time. From time toe time this inner wind NEI FENG causes epileptic seizures and convulsions, bruxism or convulsions that occur with fever. Likewise, the soul SHEN, which is seated in the heart XIN at daytime and in the liver GAN at night according to Chinese medicine, is restless because of the heat on the liver pathway GAN RE, which is manifested e.g. by nightmares, hysteria, restless sleep, palpitations with anxiety, etc. Due to the suppressed spleen pathway PI, it does not work properly because it cannot produce sufficient qi energy QI XU and blood XUE XU, which is then manifested by flatulence and nausea. This harmonizing mixture is mostly used by children. It should be administered in the long term, at least for 2-3 months.
