Description according to traditional Chinese medicine: This is a modification of the original traditional Chinese herbal mixture QI JU DI HUANG WAN, adjusted to meet today’s needs. This mixture is based on herbs which feed the kidney and liver yin SHEN/GAN YIN XU. It also contains herbs which feed the deficient kidney essence SHEN JING XU, deficient liver blood GAN XUE XU, and herbs which cool down the liver heat GAN RE and push down the rising liver yang GAN YANG SHI, generated by the deficient liver and kidney yin GAN/SHEN YIN XU. According to Chinese medicine, we can easily imagine this condition as a deficiency or depletion of oil in the engine, which then cannot work at full power, overheats and in the end can seize. Typical symptoms of this deficiency include mild dizziness, headache, hip pain, weakness and pain in the knees, constipation or dry stools, dry mucous membranes (eyes, mouth, vagina…), infertility, menstrual bleeding disorders (irregular bleeding, soiling, off-cycle bleeding, excessive or insufficient), anaemia, ringing in the ears or tinnitus, blurred vision, premature ageing, premature greying, delayed mental or physical development in children, memory impairment, impaired mental activity in adulthood, male impotence or premature seed discharge, etc. Depletion of the kidney and liver yin SHEN/GAN YIN XU occurs in particular in women because yin YIN includes blood XUE, which tends to deplete mostly in women (menstruation, hormonal contraception, child birth, breast-feeding, etc.), as well as one-sided or long-term physical and especially mental work without sufficient and proper regeneration, sleep or rest. All these problems are present mostly in young women, where this deficient yin YIN XU is often worsened by hormonal contraception. In case of deficient blood XUE XU, deficient qi energy QI XU, deficient yin YIN XU and deficient kidney essence SHEN JING XU, this mixture should be ideally combined with the Beverage from True Ginseng (code 822), e.g. in case of anaemia, premature ageing or greying, delayed development in children or generally in order to prolong the quality of life and life expectancy…
