Description according to traditional Chinese medicine: This is a modification of the original traditional Chinese herbal mixture TIAN MA GOU TENG WAN, adjusted to meet today’s needs. All these diseases are caused by potential deficiency of the kidney and liver yin SHEN/GAN YIN XU, which allows the liver yang GAN YANG SHI to raise and stir up the internal liver wind GAN NEI FENG. In case of deficient liver blood GAN XUE XU, it cannot properly feed and moisten muscles and tendons. When muscles and tendons are dry, they develop cramps and twitches. All unnatural movements of the body or body parts, such as twitches, tics, eye or tongue curling, are a sign of the liver wind GAN NEI FENG. This always involves maintenance of balance between yin liquids and yang energy. When yin liquids are weakened YIN XU, the body is not in balance. It is just like in nature: when there is a shortage of water to extinguish fire, fire starts spreading and its flames are very high. In our case, yin water YIN XU does not control yang fire YANG HUO, which raises to the head and causes headaches, vertigo, dizziness, blurred vision, ringing in the ears, hot flashes in the head, insomnia, sleep disturbed by unpleasant dreams, tics, irritability, nervousness, tingling and numbness in the limbs, insensitive limbs, limb cramps or even paralysis of the limbs (hemiplegia). Many herbs in this mixture reduce high blood pressure, cholesterol, obesity and the resulting swelling of the ankles. This mixture cleans the heat from the liver GAN RE, calms the mind SHEN, eliminates internal wind NEI FENG and feeds the liver GAN and the kidneys SHEN.
