STROKE IS A VERY SERIOUS DISEASE CAUSED BY AN INTERRUPTION IN THE SUPPLY OF BLOOD AND OXYGEN TO THE BRAIN. THE CAUSE IS MOST OFTEN AN ATHEROSCLEROTIC PROCESS IN THE BLOOD VESSELS LEADING TO THEIR OCCLUSION.
Stroke
Stroke, also known as stroke, is the most common disease of the brain. Damage to brain tissue occurs as a result of restriction or complete interruption of blood flow or as a result of arterial bleeding into the brain. Depending on the location and extent of the central nervous system involvement, CMP can cause various forms of paralysis, impaired speech, vision, thinking, concentration, etc.
This disease is one of the diseases of civilisation and statistically ranks third in deaths after heart disease and cancer. Even after survival, it brings with it a number of social, economic, care and disability aspects.
Dividing
1. Ischemic stroke - is caused by interruption of blood flow to a given part of the brain. The cause is an atherosclerotic process in a blood vessel, which leads to its closure or blockage by a blood clot. Prevalence 85%.
2. Haemorrhagic stroke - is most often caused by rupture of a blood vessel or as a result of trauma. Incidence in 15%.
3. Transient ischemic attack (TIA) - is the mildest form of disability. The patient's problems subside within 24 hours and leave no sequelae. It is often a warning sign of a more serious attack.
Symptoms of CMP
- Severe headaches
- Disturbances of consciousness, collapse states
- Disturbances in orientation
- Unilateral impairment of upper or lower limb mobility
- Visual disturbances, visual field loss
- Speech disorders - difficulty articulating, difficulty reading and writing
- Facial numbness, unilateral drooping of the corner of the mouth and eyelid
- Vomiting and urinary incontinence
Risk factors for CMP
- The most significant risk factor is arterial hypertension (high blood pressure); High "systolic" the risk is mainly high "systolic" (upper pressure in men, who are affected more often than women
- High levels of blood fats - see the topic leaflets "Cholesterol" and "Atherosclerosis"
- Smoking - doubles the risk of the disease
- Alcohol - is a risk factor for bleeding strokes
- Diabetes (diabetes mellitus)
- Hormonal contraceptives
- Stress
Diagnostics
Computed tomography (CT) plays a key role in diagnosis today.
Treatment of CMP
The conventional treatment strategy is to provide basic life functions and transfer the patient to newly built "ictal units" at the level of teaching hospitals. Here, drugs are administered to dissolve the blood clot, thin the blood and protect the brain tissue. Bleeding episodes are dealt with surgically.
CMP and ENERGY products
Energy products play an important role both in disease prevention and elimination of risk factors (especially cholesterol reduction) and in the patient's recovery period. The importance of prevention is extremely important in cases of a family history of the disease.
Main products
KOROLEN - it is a basic preparation to harmonize and detoxify the entire cardiovascular system. We recommend a gradual dosage of 3-7 drops 3 times a day according to the patient's condition and tolerance.
VITAMARIN - lowers cholesterol levels, has a pronounced anti-inflammatory and anti-sclerotic effect on the vascular wall. Dosage 1 capsule 3 times a day after meals.
REVITAE - acts as an antioxidant, regenerates and harmonizes the vascular and nervous system. Dosage 1 capsule 3 times a day after meals.
Complementary products
STIMARAL - it is a complex of plant adaptogens eliminating the effects of stress on the body. It gives life force and vitality in times of regeneration. Dosage 5-7 drops 3 times a day.
CELITIN - lecithin reduces blood cholesterol levels and prevents the development of atherosclerosis. Ginkgo biloba improves blood circulation to the brain, thins the blood and prevents blood clots. Dosage 1 capsule 1x daily.
FLAVOCEL - acts as an antioxidant, lowers cholesterol levels, acts as a prevention against blood thrombus formation. Particularly important for smokers. Dosage 1 tablet 2x a day.
VITAFLORIN - due to its content of vitamin 86, 812 and folic acid, it is essential for proper metabolism of homocysteine (a risk factor for atherosclerosis). Dosage 1 capsule once a day after meals.
The dosage given is only indicative and must be adjusted according to the state of the disease, age and reactivity of the patient.
