Selenium Star, 120 tbl

Selenium is a significant antioxidant. It is part of the glutathione peroxidase enzyme. This enzyme together with vitamin E takes part in the elimination of harmful substances from cells. Selenium has a positive influence on the immune system, it is also able to hinder the unfavourable effects (toxicity) of cadmium and mercury on the body. It is essential for the proper functioning of thyroid hormones. The lack of selenium allows the genesis of a whole range of diseases, in particular cardio-vascular diseases, immunity, thyroid disorders, tumor diseases, uremia (a serious state developed by severe kidney malfunctioning). Sufficient supply of selenium remarkably lowers the possibility of cancer diseases occurence. The impact of selenium for this can be enhanced by vitamins A and E. The lack of selenium can result in men's sterility. It is essential for the regular testosterone metabolism. Frequent symptoms of the lack of selenium are muscle weakness and tiredness.

Recommended dosage
1 tablet twice a day.

Contents of 2 tablets: Emulsifier: microcrystalline cellulose; stabilizer: dicalcium phosphate, calcium carbonate; selenium (sodium selenate) 100 μg (182 % NRV*); brewer’s yeast; defoaming agent: vegetable stearic acid; anticaking agent: silicon dioxide. NRV* = nutrient reference values

Precautions
It is not designed for children up to 3 years of age. The product is not a substitute for a varied diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosing. Store in a cool dry place out of reach of children. Use best before date indicated by EXP data on the top side of the container.
