Description according to traditional Chinese medicine: This is a modification of the original traditional Chinese herbal mixture YOU GUI WAN, adjusted to meet today’s needs. As the years go and with growing age, the kidney energy SHEN QI decreases, especially after 40 years of age. According to traditional Chinese medicine, the “right” kidney controls yang energy of the kidneys SHEN YANG, i.e. the Fire of Life MING MEN, which is intended to warm up the body to its “operating” temperature and strengthen it and is also responsible for sexual prowess. Deficient kidney yang SHEN YANG XU results in symptoms such as dull pain and weakness in the lower back, knee pain, cold limbs, chills, cold feeling improved by clothing, swelling of the lower limbs, frequent urination with large portions of light urine, impotence, sterility, urinary incontinence, even mushy stools or diarrhoea, sometimes with food residues, as well as general fatigue and exhaustion. This mixture warms up, so it should not be used too long (1 – 3 months depending on the condition) and should not be used against simple exhaustion or fatigue without any other signs of deficiency of the kidney yang SHEN YANG XU.
